First proof of Zoo Animal Design Update of Zoo animals with Giraffes added Belt pack made with Pygmy Blue Butterfly design
It’s been so much fun to create multiple colors of different designs for Spoonflower.com. I recently found a book of sketches I made while making weekly visits to the Rio Grande Zoo in the summer of 1998. There’s even one sketch with a view of the other zoo visitor’s behinds. I wasn’t sure how those color pencil drawings would look on fabric, so I just ran a “test” on a fat quarter. I liked it so much, I added my drawing of giraffes to the main design, uploaded an update, then added the full spectrum of colors in the background. I’ve ordered the proof yards and will need to wait a couple of weeks until they arrive.
Christmas gift belt packS I made from Bobcat surface designs
My “Rainbow Basket” design pattern ”proof” yard came yesterday. I’m loving the vivid colors and hidden “lizard” image in the design. I’m planning on making a few small things with this fabric. I’ll see if any of it will be marketable.
