Wooly Blanket Looks like Camouflage!

Using my Wooly Blanket Spoonflower design proof made this hat look like it was camouflaged. I made up my own pattern using one of my husband’s hats.

Are hats coming back in fashion? Did they ever go away? I’m not sure those things on women’s heads at the Ascot races are really hats at all. More like hair ornaments.

I was never much of a baseball cap fan until I moved to New Mexico. In the southwest, having a hat without a brim in the back is helpful when you’re driving. It doesn’t bump against the head rest. The sun is intense here and a baseball cap visor helps at that time of day when the sun hits your eyes below the car visor.

My “Giraffe Family” Spoonflower Design will be used in my next hat experiment. I have large and small proofs to use.

My next hat will be a sun hat using my giraffe family Spoonflower design proof. I’ve been trying to figure out what to do with that one. I’m using the baseball cap head part, and the “Clash Hat” pattern modified brim. So this experiment should be fun. I have the pieces cut, just need an hour or so to get it assembled. Today just might be the day. I’ll keep you posted.
