A Stitch in Time!

A Monarch Butterfly clock??? Why not??

I can post this because the recipient is wisely NOT on Facebook or the internet. My friend has planted milkweed on her California property to help the Monarchs. She inspired me to make this fabric design, AND the butterfly clock. I’m quite sure she will be pleased to get this. SHhhhhhh! Don’t tell her it’s coming!

I had fun using iron on rhinestones where the numbers should be. The light has to be just right to see them. The clock hands are clear enough, I think, for the average time watcher to know the analog time.

And as practice for this clock, I finished my not-quite-round clock for my bathroom. I hand-sewed sequence because it was too late to use the rhinestones. The new clock hands work well for me.

If you look closely, you can see the sequence. I get a kick out thinking it’s “Giraffe O’clock” or “Eagle O’clock” rather than two or 10. All the swatches of cloth for the hours are my DulciArt,LLC designs; available at Spoonflower.com, of course.
