These roses are taking more hand work than my thumbs like. So I’m taking it a little at a time; poco a poco. I find this work very relaxing before it starts to hurt me. I marvel at how cooperative soft cotton is. It folds and tucks so easily. I enjoy the contrast of colors and feel a certain sense of pride when the rose is done. My mind may wonder over recent events, or conversations, then circle back again to the task in my hands. I’ve spotted an errant green stitch in an orange rose pedal. I may cover that with a bug bead or fold of a bush. Or I might snip it and re-stitch that part. I’m inspired from watching videos of other fabric artists on YouTube. Maybe one day I’ll upload a video of making this fabric art…. That would be another fun project.
